Standing spike single crochet – standing spk-sc

A spike stitch is worked into a stitch or space one or two rounds below the one you are currently working. Make sure that you elongate your stitches to the correct height, or it may cause your work to pull.

  • Begin with a slip knot on your hook.
  • Insert your hook into the indicated stitch or space and pull up a loop, make sure that the loop is elongated to the correct height – 2 loops on the hook.
  • Yo, pull through both loops.
