Le Jardin Tropical
With this design, the sky is the limit!
Wandering through Le Jardin Tropical feels like stepping into a lush green sanctuary, where every path reveals a new botanical treasure. Towering Monstera leaves create a dramatic canopy, their iconic split foliage adding texture and tropical charm to the peaceful surroundings. The vibrant greenery, dappled sunlight, and tranquil atmosphere make every stroll an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the beauty of nature.
I made a boxed ottoman cover, but the options are endless with this one! Think blanket, cushion cover, tote bag, book cover, pencil case, crochet essentials bag, storage box cover, placemat, table runner… the sky is the limit!

Will I Be Able To Make This?
This is an intermediate pattern, so it does ask a little more of you than a beginner project, but that doesn’t mean it’s only for crochet superheroes. If you’re comfortable with the basics, happy to take your time, and don’t mind learning as you go, you may well surprise yourself.

Why you'll love this
Although I’ve designed it as a boxed ottoman cover, this motif is one of those happy surprises that seems to work beautifully on just about everything. The moment I finished it, my mind started racing… What if it became a blanket? A tote bag? A cushion cover? Before long, the list had grown to include crochet project bags, storage boxes, placemats, table runners… and I still don’t think I’ve reached the end of it!
Inspired by the bold, beautiful Monstera leaves found in lush tropical gardens, this design has a lovely balance of texture and simplicity. It’s eye-catching without being fussy, making it perfect for modern homes while still having that handmade warmth we all love.
This is the kind of pattern you can make once… and then find yourself reaching for again and again, simply because the possibilities are endless. I honestly can’t wait to see where your imagination takes it, because I have a feeling you’re going to come up with ideas I never even thought of!
So gather your favourite colours, make yourself comfortable, and let’s bring a little piece of Le Jardin Tropical into your home.
