Espiritu Del Sol – Afghan Crochet Pattern
Espiritu Del Sol has been a celebration of both colour and life. When the world was reaching the end of year two with coronavirus, what started out as a cro-doodle (crochet doodle) turned into an escape from the gloom of the world.
Aquila the Kitten
This life-sized kitten is made in a rigid sitting pose with a body that is crocheted, mostly in one piece without extensive sewing. She has realistic eyes and a mouth that can open. Aquila can be customized to make different types of cats by using specific colours while crocheting, or by needle-felting a fur coat onto her once crocheting is complete – or even a combination of both.
Christmas-a-long
The Christmas a-long is a giant bundle of patterns designed by myself, Projectarian, Granny2, MandM Crochet design, Monika Mohr and Sunshine Friends as a Christmas pattern advent calendar. Starting on the 1st of November, we will be releasing 1 pattern a day, for 25 days.
Helium the Hippo
This hippo is a detailed amigurumi with interesting features such as an open mouth with a tongue and teeth, individual toes, nostrils and realistic eyes. Weighing in at nearly 700 g, Helium is a large amigurumi who is physically about the size of a real baby pygmy hippopotamus!
T-t-t-t-t-t Touch Me
The blanket is designed as a 130cm x 138cm lapghan, especially comforting to people with Alzheimer’s, autism, dementia, or sensory disabilities. Fiddle bits and pieces are calming and therapeutic, while the weight provides warmth and comfort.
Lunar the Lemur
Lunar is a life-sized, fully articulated amigurumi lemur, designed with realistic proportions and features. She has detailed crochet shaping on her face, such as nostrils, an open mouth and tongue, which are all crocheted in one piece with the head. Made with the suggested materials, she will stand 75 cm tall, excluding her tail. She’s about the size of a human toddler, and yes, she can fit into human clothes too!
FOR
I thought to myself, “It’s funny how we always make things For other people and very seldom For ourselves.” It’s always For my mom or For a friend or For someone I work with. And that I think is one of the greatest joys of crochet, the love we put into something we make For someone else. I have made mine For Emily, who was my great-grandmother. Who are you making yours For?
Hooked on Grannies CAL
Hooked on Grannies has been a type of “going back to my roots” design and has been a proper labour of love for me. I’m not very fond of designing squares, to be honest, but I have always loved blankets made up of squares. They make me think of those proper retro blankets that your granny used to make and are just perfect for stash busting and learning.
Sunshine Kisses & Fairy Wishes
This beautiful blanket has been put together by some of the amazing ladies in my test teams. They chose all of the stitchwork, put the overall design together, typed, formatted and tested the pattern. I only had to take some photies. In each part, you will get to “meet” one of these lovely ladies and get to know them a little better.
